| Understanding Our Immune Systems - The Frontline of Defense |
|
|
Do you have any idea why our immune systems are so vitally important?
Are you familiar with immune system stress syndrome. Far too many
people don't fully grasp don't fully grasp the importance of their
immune system. I believe that's why there are so many immune problems
in children.
It's quite simple really. The primary function is to fight off illness causing bacteria and invasive germs that cause infections. It all starts and stops with the immune system. Your first line of defense. That common cold you caught last month was immediately identified by your immune system. The body works to battle it off as fast and as best as it can. I think it's awesome how our bodies can recognize these harmful intruders and fight them so aggresively. The key is to keep your immune system strong and your body healthy. This way it will have the strength and capability to battle any intruders. When it comes to human immune systems, there are several crucial factors we all must consider. First off, you have to strengthen your immune system on a regular basis. This means eating right. A proper and nutritious diet is imperative for the immune system to work well and efficiently. If your body lacks the essential nutrients, then your immune system may fail you when you need it most. A great question to ask is how does stress effect the immune system, and does stress damage the immune system? These are all excellent questions and should be explored in greater detail by means of research and by consulting with a health care professional. How about when you're exposed to that nasty and vicious flu virus. Don't you want your body to be able to block it with the utmost haste? Of course you do. None of us want to grapple with irksome illnesses. Once a year is plenty for me. Heck, I would prefer never. Now, the issue of healthy immune systems is raised in the discussion of many modern-day diseases. H.I.V. being the most familiar one. I think it's fairly safe to say that we all know what H.I.V. is by now. And if you don't, you at least know that it can kill anyone who gets it. It's basically a sexually transmitted disease. This is the most common way it's spread in this day and age. The problem with this contemporary affliction is that it destroys our immune systems, hence leaving us vulnerable to anything and everything. Imagine what it would be like to have no defense against viruses and illness. And I am just talking about the common ones such as a cold. Your body would basically be rendered helpless. Well, in addition to living smart and eating well, there are a few other things you can do to strengthen your immune system. A daily multivitamin is beneficial, as well as getting enough sleep. You should also avoid smoking and excessive drinking. Both of which have a negative effect on human immune systems. |
